A whole new look for the award-winning Planar 1. We are delighted to introduce the new mat finish Planar 1. Every aspect of Planar 1 is designed meticulously to enhance performance.
Planar 1 employs a handmade RB110 arm with our unique Rega designed ultra-low friction bearings, and a specially designed 24v low noise synchronous motor to reduce vibration.
The EBLT belt we produce with our latest technology provides higher precision and improved speed performance.
If you want to return to the record and want a serious performance that will last a lifetime, then you don't need to look anywhere else.
The new custom-made Walnut effect finish will be launched in August and September 2022 and is made from the same high hardness top-tier laminate used in the standard matte P1. This attractive, high-quality, realistic finish is offered as standard with a top-class smoked dust cover to complete the design.

Pickup Arm
Rega's new design, custom-made, brand new RB110 pickup arm with ultra-low friction bearings. New bias arrangement and integrated arm lift. Planar 1 features automatic bias adjustment that eliminates the need for the user to adjust bias, making it the most 'plug and play' pickup we have ever produced. Ergonomic design head for ease of use and appearance.
Cartridge
The Rega Carbon cartridge is offered as standard with the product.
24V Synchronous Motor
A 24V synchronous AC motor is used for the first time in an entry-level Rega turntable. This motor has a new printed circuit that provides low noise and more precise speed stability, and an aluminum pulley.
Body
In the laminated glossy and improved new body, the on / off switch is ergonomically placed on the bottom. Two very stylish finishes are available: glossy black and glossy white.
Main Bearing Housing
The redesigned brass main bearing is better compatible with the body and reduces tension on it while blocking potential energy transfer (patent pending).
Platter
23mm, heavier, phenolic platter provides better flywheel effect and speed stability.
New Design Feet
It has new feet that reduce vibration transfer and increase stability.
Motor Cover
The new motor cover also includes cooling.
